No Cold Calling Zone pilot in Carnon Downs

We are delighted that Mount Agar Road and Agar Meadows in Carnon Downs have been chosen to be a pilot area for a new No Cold Calling Zone. The below press release has been issued by Cornwall Council Trading Standards. Stickers for residents to display in windows can be picked up from the Parish Council Office in Devoran, these are for any residents and not just those in the cold calling pilot area. Casual vacancy for Feock ward Councillor

Due to the resignation of Lindsey Morgan-Lundie we have a casual vacancy for a Feock ward Councillor. Pengelly Meadows Recreation Area update

The Parish Council hopes to start work by the end of this year on cutting back the hedges, tree planting and installation of picnic benches in the recreation area. Unfortunately due to ground conditions and winter weather the landscaping required to level the football area, install pathways and gym equipment will not be able to be carried out until Spring 2020 when the weather is drier. To keep the area secure we have put a padlock on the vehicle access gate but the pedestrian gate is unlocked to enable residents to use the field.

A39 Overnight Road Closures

Please be aware of overnight road closures this week - various sections of the A39 from Truro to Penryn will be closed each night from 7pm to 7am from tonight until 7th November for gully emptying and maintenance works.
