Devoran Community Library
Located in the entrance way to the Parish Council Office in Market Street in Devoran, we have approximately 250 books of varying genres - you just need to be a member of the Cornwall Council library to borrow books, or if you are not you can join the Cornwall Library online at the Community Library using the touch screen tablet.
The library opening hours are:-
Mondays - 9am to 5.30pm
Tuesdays to Fridays - 9am to 3pm
You can also order in books from the Cornwall Library online catalogue to be delivered to the Devoran library for collection, click on the 'Library Online' graphic on this page or use the touch screen tablet in the Community Library. You need to select Devoran from the list as the library for delivery.
Chris, a Cornwall Council librarian will also be here once a month at 10am to help with ordering, delivering online orders and taking requests for new stock (which will be refreshed on a monthly basis). We recommend ordering books a minimum of 2 weeks before the librarian is due to deliver them to enable time for them to be obtained from one of the main libraries.
The next visit by Chris will be on Tuesday 26th November 2019
If you have any queries about the library please contact Debra Roberts, Parish Clerk, Feock Parish Council, tel: 01872 863333 or email
To make way for the library extension we have moved the Bookswap facility to the phonebox at the bottom of Market Street. There are also community bookswaps located in the phoneboxes located on Forth Coth in Carnon Downs, Churchtown in Feock and also on Point Green.
Mobile Library Van Service
The mobile library van still visits the Parish, stopping in Carnon Downs, Penpol, Feock and Restronguet Point on various Wednesdays. These are not every Wednesday and the exact dates of the mobile library van visits can be found online here http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/libraries/your-local-library/mobile-library-service/
Home Library Service
If you can’t get to us, the Home Library Service can bring the library to you – free! It is for anyone who is unable to use the library because they have a disability, long-term illness or caring responsibilities which make it difficult for them to get out. Please contact Truro Library for more information or visit http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/libraries/your-local-library/home-library-services/
