We have received the below notification from the Saint Mawes Harbour Master which might be of interest to those using the Carrick Roads this weekend.

Notice to Mariners Event Saturday 11th June.

Mariners are advised that a sailing event will take place within an area East of a line from St Mawes Castle to Carricknath Point. The event involving up to 12 Small open sailing boats will commence at 2000hrs on Saturday evening when the vessels will sail a fixed course for 12 hours until 8.00am Sunday.

The course marks will be illuminated with single white lights from dusk until dawn and are located at Long Lodge-N50.09.115-W05.00.996, Tavern-N50.09.311-W005.01.217 the inner 3rd mark N50.09.399-W005.00.786.

Mariners are advised to navigate the area with extreme caution
