"Your Choice" Grants 2015/16



The Parish Council has previously run a Small Grants Scheme available to local groups and charities. The Council agreed early in 2014 that they would replace this with a ‘Participatory Budgeting Scheme’ which would give local residents more say in which groups the Parish Council supported by way of voting at a public meeting and online.  


This was run very successfully in 2014/15 with 8 groups from the parish receiving funding and the Parish Council agreed at a recent Parish Council meeting to run the scheme again for 2015/16.

Grants are available for up to a maximum of £250.

We are delighted to announce that at the Parish Council meeting earlier this month all applications for funding were granted.


The following organisations will receive funding from the Parish Council this year, details of their projects can be found using the link at the bottom of this page.

  • St Feock PALS Lunch Club

  • Devoran Quay Preservation Society

  • 17th Truro Scout Group (Devoran)

  • Carnon Downs Memory Cafe

  • Up the Creek Promotions

  • Devoran Village Hall

  • Devoran Community Association

The Electors Meeting was very well attended on Monday evening, with all but one of the groups who had applied for money attending to present this years projects.

Voting has now closed, we've had over 190 votes this year, thank you to everyone who took the time to vote.


The results to be announced at the Parish Council Meeting on Tuesday 2nd June and will also be posted on the website. 



Applications for the council's funding for local groups and charities for 2015/16 have now closed and will go to the Parish Council meeting in April for checking against the criteria to determine which will go forward to the public vote in May.

Parish Council short-list applications - Tuesday 7th April 2015


Public meeting to present projects and public vote - Monday 11th May 2015 (Annual Parish meeting)


Public vote closes - Monday 25th May 2015


Parish Council authorise funding - Tuesday 2nd June 2015 (Parish Council meeting)


Deadline for spending grant - Thursday 31st March 2016
