Become a Parish Councillor!

We currently have two vacancies for Councillors, one in Carnon Downs ward and one in Devoran ward.

If you are interested in getting involved with the Parish Council please have a look at our website to see more about the work of the Council or call into the office in Market Street, Devoran (open each week day).

To be eligible to become a Parish Councillor, you need to meet at least one of the following criteria.

The potential councillor:

(a) is registered as a local government elector for the parish;

(b) has during the whole of the preceding twelve months occupied as owner or tenant,

any land or premises in the parish;

(c) his/her principal or only place of work during the preceding twelve months has

been in the parish;

(d) had during the whole of the preceding twelve months resided in the parish or

within 4.8 km thereof.
