Neighbourhood Plan Referendum - 8th March 2018

The Feock Neighbourhood Development Plan is being created by local residents, community groups, businesses and the Parish Council and will shape how the parish changes in the coming years.

The Neighbourhood Development Plan has now been examined by an Independent Examiner to check that it meets all the requirements of a Plan, the Examiner has also taken into account the comments received during the 6 week public consultation period held earlier in Summer 2017. The Steering Group have responded to the Examiners recommendations and the final plan to go to Referendum has now been agreed by Cornwall Council.

The Public Referendum will be held on 8th March 2018. Voting will be the same method as for an election, you will get a polling card through your door and visit the polling to station to vote whether you are in favour or not of the Feock Neighbourhood Development Plan being adopted by Cornwall Council as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which will be used and referred to when deciding planning applications in the Parish.

The question you will be asked to vote on is:

“Do you want Cornwall Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Feock to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”

A hard copy is also available to view at the Parish Council Office in Devoran, Carnon Downs Surgery and Cornwall Council's Truro One Stop Shop.

The Plan also contains lots of other projects which will form an action plan for the Parish Council with regards to transport, health and wellbeing, education, business and the environment.
