Local Transport Scheme set to continue

Due to the success of the Community Transport scheme initiated in February 2015 and the subsequent pilot scheme, Feock Parish Councillors voted at last nights (8th September 2015) Parish Council meeting for the scheme to continue indefinitely.

The project came about when Cornwall Council funding cuts struck the Corlink service last summer. It offers people of all ages in the parish, left stranded without access to bus routes in Devoran, Feock and Carnon Downs, the chance to book the volunteer service for local journeys.

The scheme has also been nominated for a national award, the Local Council Project of the Year at the National Association of Local Councils Star Awards, we will hear if we have been

shortlisted by the end of September.
