There is some useful information here from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust about how to attract hedgehogs to your garden. Please be very careful when using pesticides in your garden as these can be very dangerous to hedgehogs.

The Parish Council were delighted to be able to fund this project with Devoran School and the Grow Nature Seed Fund. Pictured in today's West Briton are two of our Councillors, Phil Allen and Barrie Thomas planting trees in the new garden area that Devoran School Gardening club will continue to plant and help maintain. We are looking forward to seeing the bulbs and wildflowers emerge over the next few months.

A planning application has been received by the Parish Council for consultee comment for the detailed design of 14 dwellings on land off Quenchwell Road in Carnon Downs. The proposals provide a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses. Of these, 50% (7 homes) are affordable rented and shared ownership.

We are delighted that Mount Agar Road and Agar Meadows in Carnon Downs have been chosen to be a pilot area for a new No Cold Calling Zone.  The below press release has been issued by Cornwall Council Trading Standards. 

Stickers for residents to display in windows can be picked up from the Parish Council Office in Devoran, these are for any residents and not just those in the cold calling pilot area.

The Parish Council hopes to start work by the end of this year on cutting back the hedges, tree planting and installation of picnic benches in the recreation area.
