Feock & Playing Place top recycling rates for Cornwall!

Figures published this week reveal the communities doing their bit for the environment by increasing recycling and reducing waste. Compared with last year households have, on average, contributed to a 0.71% increase in recycling across Cornwall, while cutting the amount of black bin waste put out for collection by around 1.2kg per household. By recycling 41% of their waste, residents in Feock and Playing Place top Cornwall Council's recycling league table, with Mullion and Grade Ruan in second place with 34%. Remembrance Sunday in the Parish

Here are a couple of photos from a lovely Remembrance Sunday service in Carnon Downs Methodist Church yesterday, one showing one of the There But Not There silhouettes that were placed around the Parish. The war memorial at Devoran is also pictured showing the Parish Council poppy wreath and also crosses laid for those lost from the village. More photos of the other services to follow.

St Feock Church traditional service for Remembrance Sunday will commence at 10am sharp and concluding with the Two-minute Silence and Placing of Wreaths at the War Memorial at 11am.
