Please pick up after your dog!

We have had a number of complaints recently about dog fouling on two specific footpaths in Feock, namely Ferris Field and the Farm Lane path (beside Retallack Park) which goes past St Feock Holy Well. Please, please pick up after your dog! The Parish Council will be considering the installation of additional dog waste bins at their next meeting.

Update on Devoran & Carnon Downs Highways projects

Carnon Downs The Parish Council have today written to residents in Carnon Downs to advise them of proposed changes to highways in the village (Forth Coth, Bissoe Road and Quenchwell Road) the full letter can be read on this news page. ​ Devoran The Parish Council have given the go ahead to Cornwall Council to start work on the implementation of a 20mph zone for Devoran Village. This will include physical traffic calming comprising of speed cushions on Greenbank Road, the old A39 and Market Street. New Police alerts system

If you would like to be kept up to date with crimes and incident in your area you can sign up to the Devon & Cornwall Police alerts system. This is a free community messaging system which informs members of the public about crimes and incidents affecting their local area. Recorded messages are sent by telephone (landline only), email or text message to individuals or groups/ businesses. The Council have today delivered letters to residents in Carnon Downs regarding proposed changes to highways in the village on Forth Coth, Quenchwell Road and Bissoe Road. Great British Spring Clean Campaign

We've arranged three litter picks over the weekend of Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th March. Bin bags can be picked up from Carnon Downs Village Hall between 10am and 11am on the Saturday and from Devoran Village Hall and St Feock Church Community Hall, again on the Saturday but between 3.30pm and 4pm. You can do your litter pick at any time over the weekend and then either take home the rubbish you have collected to put out with your household rubbish or return to the Parish Council office in Devoran for disposal. Fancy being a Parish Councillor?

On Thursday 4th May 2017 the 4 yearly Parish and Town Council Elections will be held. ​ There are 14 seats in Feock parish, 4 in Devoran and 5 each in Feock and Carnon Downs wards. If there are more people standing than seats in a ward then an election will be held and a statement of persons nominated will be issued on Wednesday 5th April. ​ If you would like to stand for election you will need to complete election papers and return these to Cornwall Council by no later than 4pm on Tuesday 4th April 2017. ​ Election packs will be available to be picked up from the Parish Council Office in March (date to be advised). ​ Documents have been produced by the Cornwall Association of Local Council

It has been several months since my last update on our Neighbourhood Development Plan, but that does not mean that we have been idle. Much of the delay in finalising our Plan for submission to the Inspection and Referendum stages has been for reasons over which we have had no control. Do you need help with gas safety checks or gas servicing?Cornwall Council has received another Gas Safe Charity Grant to help eligible homeowners to be Gas Safe. Who is eligible? • Homeowners with a disability over the age of 18 • Homeowners over the age of 60 in receipt of a means tested benefits such as the Guaranteed Pension Credit or Council Tax Support Last year we assisted 60 households with gas servicing and essential repairs to help them stay gas safe in their homes.
