Public meeting - proposed housing development in Carnon Downs - Tuesday 22nd November at 7pm

The below letter has been distributed recently to homes in the Valley Lane, Forthnoweth, Cowling Road area. Planning application no:- PA16/08980 Land East of Trevella Farm, Valley Lane, Carnon Downs Cornwall Council has received an application for outline permission to erect thirty eight new dwellings on land to the east of Trevella Farm, Valley Lane, Carnon Downs. The proposal is for a mixed development of new dwellings, a proportion of which will be within the “affordable homes” bracket. Your Parish Council are statutory consultees on this and all other planning applications within the Parish of Feock and applications are normally dealt with by the Planning Sub-Committee of the council.

Santa's reindeer visiting Trelissick

Santa's Reindeer will be visiting Trelissick on Saturdays this December! All through December the weekend opening times at Trelissick will be: 10.30 – 19.00 hrs. The opening hours for Monday 19th and Friday 23rd will also be 10.30 – 19.00 hrs. The reindeer will be visiting for three Saturdays, the 3rd, 10th and 17th December – they will be there from 13.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs :)

Dog fouling on Devoran Lane

We have had a lot of complaints about the amount of dog mess that is currently on Devoran Lane in Devoran, near to the entrance to the primary school. If anyone would like a laminated copy of this poster to display in their area please let the Parish Clerk know on who can arrange one for you to display. Please pick up after your dog! If your dog fouls any area to which the public are entitled access (by way of payment or not). Failure to remove faeces immediately will result in a fixed penalty of £80.00 being issued to you. If you fail to pay within 14 days you may then be liable to prosecution and a fine of up to £1000.00. More information can be found here h

FAST project (Feock Action to Slow Traffic)

The Parish Council has received large numbers of comments and concerns relating to roads and traffic issues right across the parish, these vary from excessive speed to the suitability of our narrow roads for heavy goods vehicles, indiscriminate parking, safer pedestrian access and other contentious issues. We have recently been successful in being awarded some funding through Cornwall Council’s devolution fund to investigate what can be done to improve safety on our highways over the whole Parish. This is a partnership project and we hope that the Parish Council, together with local residents and businesses can work together to help solve some of the issues. The project is just starting, how
